STRIVING 4 Change !

Hey! It's me Kay....I'm back!!! My initial goal for joining SP was for motivation and wisdom on weight lost. My 1st goal was to lose 10% of my total body weight and there after an add'l 100lbs... I'm happy to say since my journey started last year 10/2008 I've loss a total of 40lbs....

I hope to lose another 90lbs

My Goals:
My short term goal is to lose 58lbs by my 30th B-DAY (11-11-09)...

Long Term goal lose 130lbs overall...

To date 8-3-09 I've lost 31lbs so I have 99lbs to go for long term goals...YAY me!

My Program:
Breakfast: Boiled egg whites or oatmeal, with 1 fresh fruit & yogurt on the side (dannon lite & fit non fat yogurt is yummy!!)

Lunch: grilled chicken w/salad or veggies ..

Dinner: Grilled or sauteed chicken or fish with veggies...

I drink tons of water, my snack are foods like nature valley granolo bars, a mini bag of fat free popcorn, fat free yogurt & always fresh fruit, green tea (no sugar & decaf)

I don't really eat sugar anymore & only healthy carbs..

My name is Kyra, I'm 29yrs old, married with no kids.

I'm a reality TV Junkie, I love anything from The Real World, Making the Band, VH1 I love shows, Biggest Loser... I also LOVE Oprah, and I enjoy watching Ellen and Dr Phil when I can.... Oh and I can't forget about my soap addiction "All my Children" ..lol.


Books: I like anything from Eric Jerome Dickey or Zane.

What are your goals now for your second year? emoticon Do you realize that most people who joined when you did have long since quit and resolved to stay fat?
Do read "Shrink Yourself" by Roger Gould, M.D. on dealing with stress and how not to regain the pounds. Also, read "The South Beach Diet" by Arthur Agatston, M.D. on Metabolic Syndrome/Insulin Resistance as he explains why belly fat is so awful for us and how to change our metabolism.

I know that you will keep working on your fitness. emoticon

I love you very much bestie. I just want to let you know I'm so proud of you. I've been praying God continues to help us through our weight lost process. You know I'm a praying machine and n e thing I ask of my Father, I'm usually getting it. So please praise Him in advance because it's ALREADY DONE. Since God has all the power WE shall never be defeated! emoticon
