Working on structure and self-support to make my goals real -- get it off and keep it off

I started on spark just after finding a doctor who took my symptoms of fatigue and weight gain seriously. My thyroid surgery in 1999 marks the start of asking medical professionals for help with weight gain. I remember being size 10 and about 146 pounds and thinking my legs were still too heavy. At the time of surgery, I was 152. When I get back to 152, that will ...

When I get back to 152, that will be the new starting point, correcting what I had wanted to correct then! Five months after starting on thyroid medication, I had evidence of responding normally to diet and exercise. So, now that I'm responding normally, it's time to get to work!

Here's an example: The feed settings for many folks show that it is "private". No matter what we all do, we cannot change that. I gave up a long time ago, and use the site for what I need from it, mostly tracking.

Best of luck!

Thanks for stopping by. I'll be honest with you, I don't think it has to do with the settings. SP has overridden those and will publish whatever they see fit. "Their bat and ball and all..." I reset it and did all sorts of wonders and it stayed the same.

As for the blogs, others who are seriously considering publishing their works have taken it off the site to maintain their ownership. Caveat emptor. Oh, but then again we haven't "bought" membership to this site, have we? emoticon
