There'll Be Some Changes Made

I am trying to become fit and healthy again. I was overweight when I started college, but by exercising regularly and making healthy choices I was able to lose the excess weight. Best of all, I had never felt so good. Unfortunately, I fell off the wagon after I graduated and have been finding it difficult to get back into that healthy mode. I want to reclaim my fitness and dietary habits from that period.

My favorite physical activities are dancing, capoeira, and walking/running.

My Goals:
I would like to increase my flexibility.

I want to be able to keep up when dancing to fast tempo songs.

I want to be able to run a few miles.

I want to increase my upper body strength so I can do certain moves in capoeira.

I want to lose weight and feel comfortable with my body again. I want to go clothes shopping without thinking "I could wear that if only I were thinner."

My Program:
I am going to try to exercise more control over my diet and try to eat healthier. I will try to cut down on sweets and cook for myself more often.

I am going to run at least 3 times a week and hoop in my spare time.

I will do core training every other day, but I am not yet sure when and how I will fit in other strength training.

I also want to practice yoga regularly for flexibility.
I will try to walk at least 10,000 steps a day.

I can completely relate to your intro! My weight has been up and down since college and grad school. This time I'm committed to keeping it off. Thanks for the extra motivation!
