I recently came back to SparkPeople. At one time I lost over 40 pounds using another diet but gradually let most of that slip back on. It is so easy to gain and not so easy to lose. I have found that if you will just monitor what you eat, you will eat healthier. SparkPeople makes that so easy. Right now I am following the basic principles of South Beach but not taking the time to track as much as I should. Hope to get better at that.

You can lose weight on almost any program but you have to make sure that you follow the program if you want results. If you don't follow your program you have to ask yourself just how committed you are to losing weight. Putting everything off until tomorrow does not get the job done for you will find that tomorrow never comes.

Conquer your cravings first my lowering your insulin responses. Then you will find it easier to follow your plan.

OOPS!!!
Anyway, I am content with the starting range for me.
I just weighed myself and am up 2. That's all the Christmas goodies and the high calorie Christmas Eve dinner I prepared.
I'm not sure how it's done, but I am going to add you to my Spark Page.
A blessed and Happy New Year to you and your family??
Betty

Hi Glenda
So glad you invited me to your page.
I have been spending a lot of time here at Spark and putting the tools into practice.
This is the first time I have been commited to a program since Weight Watchers inception 37 years ago.
I can't believe I am actually excited about tracking my food.
I've learned that when I slip, I don't beat myself up anymore. I stop the negative chatter in my head and pick up at the next meal or snack.
I noticed last night that I have advanced to Stage 4..I don't know if it happens automatically or if I hit something and changed it.
My calorie range has been booted up1890-2240. and I am thinking that since my calorie range, 1360-1710 how am I going to fit all the other calories in. They now range
