I receive much wise counsel through the Holy Bible. Scripture is full of wisdom for all, whether they are a believer or not. Here is the wisdom I receive today as I prepare for April's focus on developing a willingness that makes me able to succeed:
Isaiah advises us, "For thus the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said, 'In repentance and rest you will be saved, In quietness and trust is your strength.' But you were not willing" ~ Isaiah 30:15.
We miss out on good things in life when we are unwilling to cooperate in doing what is needful for achieving the good we desire. God through Isaiah tells us that our consenting to cooperate with laws, rules, guidelines, etc., leads to our eating "the best of the land" (Isaiah 1:18-20). Willingness to do what we must for what we want is a necessary mindset for overcoming temptation and the failure to achieve. Develop a willingness to do what it takes within the boundaries of what is good, right, and true, and you will go far in life.
"If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself" ~ John 7:17. 115 days ago
I miss the corral and all the wonderful people in it. I took some time off from BLCs and gained all my weight back and then some. So I'm trying again! It's slow moving, but I guess that's good because it means I'm doing it the right way. :) How are you doing? 125 days ago
Sure I can do games! So these games can be anything? Like word association, ABC Bands and those sorts of things to boost posting? I'll also throw in some motivational posts and fitness/nutrition tips as I go :) 138 days ago
