Thanksgiving Day with the family (my side)
Hi everyone and welcome to my spark page. Let me tell you all a little bit about myself...First of all, I am a happily married mom of two, a 27year old daughter, Alicia, and a 26 year old multi-disabled son, Daniel. Alicia attends college here in Tennessee, and Daniel is active in many activities for special needs' children. They are both amazing kids, and I am so proud of them both! God has really blessed me and I am so thankful for all my blessings.
I have worked as an assistant for a special needs bus for the past 18 years. I currently volunteer with a non profit called The Joy Center. We are working to give special needs' adults who have aged out of school a safe, fun-filled place to go, socialize, enjoy games, music, crafts, and other activities. . I love working with special needs children, and in my spare time,I do volunteer work as a coach for Challenger League, which is a ball team for special children here in my area. I am a Christian, and am active in the small church I attend.
I have been what I consider overweight most of my life .I do know why I am overweight. The plain and simple facts are that I love to eat. I LOVE food. Period. .I have never been what qualifies as 'fat' to most people, but always seemed to have those extra 10- 20 lbs. that are so aggravating. I have been on spark several years and have lost over 20 pounds. I have seemed to level off around 150ish, but I think that is due to lack of motivation and slacking off the program a bit. I do like the size I am at now, but know I could stand to lose a few more pounds. I have become obsessed with weight, numbers on the scale, and eating habits before, and don't want to end up going down that path again.

I began Spark last year weighing 162lbs. Truth be known, I believe it was about 5 lbs more than that because I had to change scales after a couple months.My goals are simple. I want to be healthy and feel good. If I had to pick a goal weight, it would be somewhere around 125-130.that is where i think i looked and felt the best. More than anything, though, I want to have the satisfaction of knowing that i am eating and living healthy and accept whatever weight that may lead to.
I do cardio 4x week for at least 30 min. sessions, strength training exercises twice a week. During the summer and fall seasons, i also play on the field coaching challenger league ball for sp. needs children. My meals are monitored by me thru spark eating between 1200 and 1550 calories per day, also with limits on protein, carbs, and fat intake.
I am 46 years old.. 5"5" wanting to weigh around 130-135 I live in middle Tn. I have been married for 27 yrs, and have 2 kids,26(boy) and 27(girl). My son is mentally and physically challenged, but
they are both such a joy! I work in the school system with special needs children. I am a Christian, but I have sooo many faults and definitely try not to judge anyone.
i like yard sales, clearance sales, anything that saves me money. I also enjoy watching shows that make absolutely no sense like Gilligans Island, Threes Company, Seinfeld,etc. I do have a more serious side every now and then, but I feel that I work hard and deserve to enjoy life ever how I want whether it will be traveling (hopefully one day before i die) or just laying around watching TV and drinking coffee.
