Feeling Ugly . . .

To answer your question about how to track certain exercise videos: I try not to get hung up on exact numbers. I did at first, but I've relaxed. Nothing is exact, because there are so many factors - your current fitness level, your weight, the intensity and duration, etc. If I do a Leslie Sansone video with jogging, I count it as General Aerobics, High Impact. If there's no jogging, it count it as General Aerobics, Low Impact. The important thing is to move and to mix it up occasionally to prevent boredom and burnout.

Thanks for the email! It's funny you should ask me what my exercise routine is, as I've been seriously slacking off. One thing is for sure, my routine is always changing. I'm getting geared back up because I'm going on a cruise in 5 weeks and 6 days!! Right now, I'm doing a lot of Leslie Sansone videos (great workout, but easy on the joints). I have about 3 of her DVDs and about 3 of her VHS tapes that I've found at the local thrift store for 99 cents each. I bought a $39 VCR a couple of years ago and it's used solely for working out in my basement. I've collected quite a varied library over the years. I love Step Reebok and Taebo also. I also have an old rusty, hand me-down treadmill that I got for free from a coworker. For a while I was going to my church's awesome gym and I'm thinking about getting that going again - 2 days per week.

It's so sad that I was so close to a 30-pound loss and then I slipped up. But I'm not down and out. I want to lose a good chunk of that 10 pounds before my cruise. And I'm definitely planning on hitting the cruise ship's gym every morning!
