StephPatt's travel down the road to fitness

Hi! My name is Stephanie. I have been overweight my entire life. I had a moment where I woke up and realized that I am not as happy as I thought I was at the weight that I am, and it is time to make a change. I have a busy schedule with 3 kids, and being a full time student, but I realize now that if I want to continue to be able to live long enough to enjoy these busy things that I need to take care of myself. So here I am, on the journey to being fit.

I have been a long time lurker of sparkpeople. I just watched other people change their lives and finally got the edge to make a difference in mine. This is it. I am taking my life back and getting control again. This is my year and I am ready to face the challenges and obsticles that I know I will face on my journey. Here's to me this year! My Goals:
My long term weight goal is to lose 100lbs no matter how long that takes me to do. My first big goal is 50lbs, but I have 10lb mini goals that I will use to keep myself motivated.

10lbs new hair cut and color
-20lbs new purse
-30lbs new high heels
-40lbs massage and pedicure
-50lbs new canon digital camera

My Program:
Keeping my calories in my spark range which is 1200-1500. Track all food before I eat it. I am also doing cardio 5 days a week to start as well as stregnth training every other day. I am currently using the Turbo Jam dvd's and I LOVE them. I really have fun working out which is important for me. I recently discover ZUMBA and I have to admit that I think I love it more than turbo jam. It's so much fun to dance away the pounds. I am also checking in here to keep myself motivated.

Other Information:
I am a book addict! I have so many books in my collection that I had to start boxing them up and rotating series. I am also a full time college student working my way to my teacher licensure.
