My name is Steph and I am 22!
I am in my third year of university. I am going through to be a teacher!
I enjoy sports and the outdoors, and would like to drop a few (lots) of my extra pounds!!

I have always struggled with my weight. I was always the chubby child through out elementary school. Finally in about grade 10 I ballooned to where I topped off the scales at about 185 when I was about 16. Since then I have lost about 20 pounds. Its been a slow crawl to get down to this weight, because I didnt really worry about it/try to get smaller. Now That i know how good it feels to be smaller and to be able to do so much more!
I also carry alot of my weight in my lower tummy area, and this concerns me because that could be a sign of her disease to potentially come in the future. I want to stay as far away from that as possible, because it runs in my family!
I am hoping to reach a goal of about 135-130, i think that will be the perfect weight for me...I just have to push myself to get there...its gunna be hard..but SOOOOO worth it in the end!

So its a new year, new start. I gained back like 10 pounds during christmas break...YIKES!..not cool at all
SO here i go again, trying to get this weight problem of mine under control. I despise my body right now..so much effort is going to have to be put forward to reach my goal.

Yesterday was my 22nd birthday...I cant believe how fast time has gone. The good news is that I lost all the weight that I gained back at Christmas time. I am back down to 147-148 lbs...WOO
I want to be 130 lbs, but I think im going to have to take it all in strides. My next goal is 140 lbs. I would REALLY REALLY like to be at my goal weight by sept 09....that would be ideal...however, we'll see how it all plays out

What a wonderful accomplishment you have made to have changed your life and continue to work on your goals. I just love it. Do you realize that most of the people who joined Sparks when you did have long since QUIT? You really did do this for YOU and that is a blessing!

Hey! I added you as well. I also live in Ontario and am a Teacher! ha! I'm a grade 1 teacher. I'm currently on my mat. leave though with my 10 month old daughter. I'll be going back to work at the end of March. Running for me outdoors right now is not happening, and I've been doing all of my training on the treadmill so far. For sure we can swap tips! emoticon
