I can do it!

After successfully loosing 10kg, I had to deal with multiple injuries & health problems. On top of that I had to deal with real stress, the kind life just carelessly throws at you. Add perimenopause and you have the result:
I regained 9kg!

Then I decided I need to get serious again:
1. Track food - so far I have lost 1.5kg in 3 weeks
2. Find time to exercise during the week (weekends are not a problem) - I revived my lunchtime walks
3. Find a new job, which ...

3. Find a new job, which will be less stressful and make me feel more appreciated. - I have missed one good chance, because I need a work permit, but that gave me a boost. Now have been called for an interview for another job. Hope it works out.

My Goals:
1. Do the Halfmarathon during Mwea International Marathon 2013 and the Nairobi Marathon 2013 in October in a good time.
2. Loose weight! And try and stay injury free this year.
3. Blood Pressure is well controlled now, want to keep it that way!
4. Keep running - and keep rheumathoid arthritis under control.
Start playing Golf
5. Find a new job and finally have a career with a future! Have just finished Project Management Professional training, yet to sit the exam, now need a new job

My Program:
Diet, try to stick around 1600-2000kcal,
exercise at least 3 times a week vigorously either long runs, or if in the gym, interval Training on the treadmill, stationary bike, weight lifting, swimming on Saturdays when the weather permits
Long run or walk every Sunday

Stephanie, 46, living in Nairobi, Kenya, am German, but have been in East Africa for the last 20 years.


Other Information:
While I was in Nursing School I got a card saying:
"an manchen Tagen ist alles einfach nur Käse! " (some days everything is simply cheese...)

Thank you for your support with food tracking, day one has started well. I have 8 weeks until my trip to the beach and must lose some weight before then or none of my clothes are going to fit me. emoticon
