My name is Stephanie. I have struggled with my weight almost my entire life. I am short, only 5' 1", so it's harder to hide!! I seemed to have just gradually continued to gain weight over the years, and over the last 2 years have had 2 children. So, now I am at a weight I never thought I would be. My dieting history has been a series of failures, never able to stick with anything for very long, before just throwing in the towel. I have never really gotten into "fad" diets or pills, knowing they don't work. I know the basics, I need to eat less and move more to lose weight, but it is a lot easier said than done. Sometimes I will fail, and just resign myself to the fact that I am going to be an overweight person the rest of my life. I will look in the mirror, dressed of course, and tell myself I don't look so bad, then comes the horrifying picture of myself or a moment on the scale when I cannot believe what I see. Other times, I look in the mirror in total disgust, and wonder, how did this happen, how can my husband stand to look at me. So, anyway, I am here now along with a friend of mine and am ready to give it a go again, hopefully this time it will stick(and not on my thighs)!!!
To feel better in my own skin and have more confidence. To feel sexier. To have more energy to play with our young kids. To be healthier for the rest of my life and pass it on to my children so they don't have to live with the burdon of struggling with weight.
Currently tracking everything which goes into my mouth and being brutally honest with myself, as I do a lot of mindless eating.

Steph, I work about one day a week at 98. I heard that you would be starting soon. You will LOVE it there!!! I can't say enough good things about it. Even when we are getting our butts handed to us, it is better than the other place on a slow day.
Anyway, Jennifer is also pregant and due in July and one of the X-Ray techs is due in March.
I hope I work with you in March.

Stay focused and keep a positive attitude as this will be a great help to you in your daily life!!! Smile although sometimes that is the hardest, but it really helps!!! And, if nothing else, it makes people wonder what you're up to.
Watch your portion control. Be sure to drink plenty of water (8-8oz glasses daily) and walk. Water and walking will help you on this journey of lowering numbers and weight loss. Start small if that is all you can do or have time to do and add to it as you are able. Even 5-10 minutes several times a day adds up to bigger numbers and will keep you moving. Invest in a good pedometer (about $10) and see how many steps you currently take each day. Before long you will be adding steps just to see how many you can do and how far you can go. WHAT A GREAT MOTIVATOR!!! YOU can do this!!!

Hi Stephie! I just came across your page and realised we sound alike. I usually think...Oh I don't LOOK like I way this amount, and then "BAM!" a picture, or a glimpse in a mirror or whatever brings me right back to reality.
Anyway, I wish you luck on your journey and success in your weight loss.
