I grew up in Orange County, CA. I was generally overweight, but I was active. I weighed probably around 160-175. Then my junior year we moved to a small town on the outskirts of AZ and I shot up to 200. The school I moved to didn't offer dance or cheerleading, so I was stuck with all of my student council meetings and other scholarly activities...which didn't burn any calories.

I married my husband in October of '08 and moved to Vegas at which point I started realizing how much weight I've really gained, and how it makes me feel. As much as he loves me and loves my body, I'm not proud of it. I'm not asking to be a stick. I love my curves and am very thankful for my hourglass shape. But at the same time, hey, girls gotta be DONE at some point and move on to her PRIDE!

I type in everything I eat and that has helped a ton. I never ate wheat before Spark and now...I order and have wheat bread and rice. I also try to eat a veggie with both my lunch and dinner which has also helped quite a bit. I don't want diabetes. I don't want to have the same health complications much of my family has had. I want to know what it feels like to really RUN. Plus, my husband is naturally tiny. If I have to work hard to look better next to him, so be it. I'm only 5'3 so this weight...its got to go! I'm DONE being the fat girl!

I've decided I'm DONE wanting to be hot and not doing anything about it.
I'm DONE cringing at the mirror.
I'm DONE hating my body and then hating myself.
I'm DONE having thighs that rub together all day!
I'm DONE being lazy.
I'm DONE seeing fast food as something that is a free for all.
I'm DONE wondering if I'll be healthy enough to have kids and keep up with them. I'm doing something about it.
I'm so DONE not being able to wear something as simple as a pair of boots.
I'm DONE with the excuses. I'm a pretty girl and I'm DONE not believing it.

I'm DONE being scared my weight will in fact one day kill me because I won't have to worry about it.

Oh. And I'm DONE with buying fat chick clothes haha. I want to shop wherever I want to shop, not search everywhere for anything.

I'm DONE hating my body and want to be able to show it!

228 (First 10lbs!)- Fresh Herb plants -DONE 3/21/08

(I'd like to add something here. I'm not positive what weight I want to be. I think I want to be like a size 9/10. I'm kind of an extreme hourglass so I think anything smaller would be too much. I'm not looking to be skinny because I really like my curves. I just want to lose until I'm happy with my body if that makes sense. )


Not when I joined Spark.But when I really STARTED:

February 21st- 238lbs. : Starting weight

March 21st- 228lbs. : - 10lbs.

April 21st- 223 lbs. : -5lbs. (Not thrilled, but still losing right??)

May 21st- 218: -5lbs(Super tough month. lost Kramer today, my doggy, and found out about
deployment this week. I'm okay with this weight loss.)

June 21st- 217: -1lb. (OUCH! But I'll have my comeback this month!!!)

July 21st- 215:-2lbs. (Family emergency for over half the month tore me down. I'm not going to let this stop me though! I've got determination!!!)

August 21st- 215:-0 (Remained the same...but it wasn't a gain so...)

September 21st-228 +13lbs. (Ryan deployed to Iraq this month. I don't feel bad about the gain one bit. Sometimes life gets in the way of goals and you have to remember what's important. I miss him like crazy already, but I'm getting back on the wagon. Just wait till next month!!!!)

October 21st - 221 -7lbs. (Workin hard, but its not coming off as fast as I had hoped. This second time around the weight is REALLY stubborn!!!!)
I'm so DONE! I'm ready for this! I CAN make this happen! It might take some time, much longer than I want, but I will get there.

November 21st- 216 -5lbs. (Had some issues with managing hanging out with my family and stuff, but I'm working on it. At least still a loss right!!!)

My Goals:
I want to feel better and look better for myself.

Trying to eat healthy foods.

I don't drink soda, but I do want to drink lotsss more water.

Be more active. Quit being so darn lazy haha

Look better next to my tiny husband lol

I want to be a healthy person before I have kids, which is many years away, but still worth the effort.

My Program:
Just trying to do my best I suppose. I plan for pretty much everything.

I eat LOTS of fruits and veggies everyday.

I loveeee my Wii Fit!!! Its a lifesaver!

Personal Information:
I married my husband October 5th, 2008. He's pretty much my everything.

I like Vegas...but miss my family friends terribly.

Life is too short to do things you'll regret, so I just do the things that make me happy.

I don�t like math. At all. I�m not stupid, I�m capable. I just hate it.

I like traveling. Being somewhere new. Doing something different.


I don�t like being allergic to stuff. Geez its inconvenient.

I'm agnostic.

I have a boxer/shar pei named Cobo, my cat is Gizmo, 3 guinea pigs: Orchid, Marty, and Aurora, and many many fished that I wont name to you guys haha some of them are Stripper, Margarita, and Ducky :p

Other Information:
I'm a book and music freak. No doubt about it. I also love to cook and write.

I took dance for a long time and I really miss it.

I LOVE having buddies! I'm also one of the captains for DONE BSS so sign up one month and see what its all about! I love it!

I am sooo gonna try to make some Pad Thai. I am also going to figure out how to make the spring rolls (The chilled type with rice paper). Oh how I love those!

I try to do that, too. Just makes it SO much easier on days we don't have time to cook. I will definitely try the recipe and let you know. I am sure I'll love it.
