The impossible is often the untried

As a child, I always knew that I was bigger than the other kids. I even recall overhearing a parent advise my mom that "she should do something about her daughter's weight."

I'd struggled with weight my entire life. When I graduated college I was at my largest and weighed 230 lbs. My binge eating was out of control. I needed to do something. After years of dieting, I found a program that I was able to incorporate into a lifesyle. It wasn't easy but it worked for me.

I also discovered that I love being active. A friend introduced me to rock climbing and now I'm addicted to a sport - not food, a sport! Unbelievable!

My Goals:
I've lost almost 100 lbs and have learned that this weight loss journey does not end with reaching "goal." I am not perfect; my weight will flux. Every day is about making healthy nutritous food choices.

My Program:
I try to include a high amount of protein and a moderate amount of healthy fats while getting carbs from fruits & veggies... eating "paleo" is what works for me.

Your accomplishments are amazing. I'm in a similar boat having lost the weight (70lbs) and am now still dealing with the eating issues like binging, and how to move from a diet to a more consistent change. Its really great to see someone in a very similar situation.

The rock climbing looks like so much fun!

I loved reading your biography. That is truly inspirational! That just proves what I've always known...you can accompolish anything if you put your mind to it and the good lord's willing. You should be very proud of yourself, and I wish you the best of luck with your eating disorder. I took the word diet out of my vocabulary...I tell people I'm striving to eat healthy and be healthy. Good luck!
