Update - 9/30/09
I've gotten myself back on track for the past 2 and a half weeks and I'm feeling really good about this. I feel this becoming a permanent lifestyle change rather than a temporary thing. My wake-up call was when I stepped on the scale at the end of summer and saw that I was 195. Just months before I was 180! I absolutely refuse to ever weigh 200. I had gotten so used to being able to eat what I wanted to lay around and be lazy that when I gained 15 pounds that quickly it felt like a slap in the face. Now that I remember how good it feels to be healthy I am determined to stick with it and discover that healthy, sexy, confident woman that I know is hiding in me somewhere!

I originally joined SP in Sept. at cwru0610, but after a month I lost motivation and was about to completely give up. I decided that I needed a fresh start, so I made this profile to start over. I feel motivated again with this new beginning and I am happy to be back with SP!

Now for a little about me...
My name is Ashley and I'm 21. I'm a SENIOR (woohoo!) nursing student at Case Western and I want to go into pediatrics because I absolutely love kids! I've struggled with weight my whole life. I have actually weighed about the same since 7th grade. I reached the 170s and now over 10 years later weigh in the 180s. I guess I'm lucky that I have only gained 10 pounds in all that time, but the weight is so stubborn that I feel like it is impossible to get rid of. When trying to lose weight, I am usually really successful in the first week, dropping almost 5 pounds, but after that the weight loss either slows or I gain some back and it's at this point that I give up. I'm hoping to avoid that giving up phase this time and to stick with this program forever. I love SP and I really feel that this is a program I can stick with. All of you are so supportive and help keep me motivated and accountable. So here's to the start of another journey! Wish me luck :)

My Goals:
Overall, I want to get down to at least 145. My goal is to tone up and to feel good about myself. I want my clothes to fit better and I want to feel comfortable in my body and find confidence that I know is in me somewhere.

My Program:
*Body For Life Plan*
~20 min intense cardio
~20 min pilates video
~ab workout
~45 min weight training

Personal Information:
I was born and raised in Dayton, OH. Right now I'm in my senior year of nursing school in Cleveland. Once I'm done the plan is to return to Dayton and who knows where I'll go from there!
I have an amazing boyfriend who is totaly supportive of me eating healthy and getting in shape as he is trying to do these same things as well, but we sometimes run into trouble because he is still back in Dayton so when we see each other it's usually only for a couple days at a time so we tend to go out to eat and slack on the working out when we're together. But we will be moving in together once I graduate and these things shouldn't be an issue once we have our own kitchen to cook healthy, nutritious food in!

Anything else you want to know, just ask! :)

Other Information:
I love to hear motivational tips and success stories so if you have any to share, hit me up! I am also always available to offer a kick in the butt and am always willing to listen to someone who just needs to vent.

WE CAN DO THIS! Let's try and stay accountable, okay??? I've been gaining weight like crazy and it sucks... but i have to convince myself it doesn't have to be like that!
so i believe in us :) just focus and think about all the people who started this journey and have been successful! they all started where we are.
