Summer and Lake Time

I've been back with spark since April 1, 2015. I've made some progress so I'm sticking around. Connected with some old spark friends and made some new ones.

I'm down 11 lbs and I dropped my BMI from 47.7 to 45.4. Things are moving in the right direction.

Summer is finally here for our area. It's a time where we socialize the most have friends out at the cottage.. sit around late around the campfire - -- danger ahead!!!!!!!

Summer is finally here for our area. It's a time where we socialize the most have friends out at the cottage.. sit around late around the campfire - -- danger ahead!!!!!!!

Well this summer - I'm planning weekends and the weekdays.
I'm breaking my efforts into 6 week chunks. This go around - I'm looking to drop another 10 lbs and reach the 215 lbs mark. That will drop my BMI down another 2 points to 43. I'm going to drink my water daily. And last but not least - I will get my butt out there to start walking again.

I am learning to be a little more selfish and put me farther up the
to do scale when making decisions. I am making sure that my top needs get looked after more often.

It's a journey. I have 100 lbs to lose total. 11 down. 89 to go. It's gonna take time and effort. And with you all helping me - this time I'm going to make it.

My Goals:
Lose 100 lbs by April `1, 2016.

Move my BMI from obese to normal range.

Eat clean 80% of meals and snacks.

Have some fun and find something that makes me laugh every day.

My Program:
I heard a great line from a dietician on tv the other day....
You can't outrun your fork.
this is my new mantra.
80% weight is what you eat,,, 20% is what you do .
I'm focusing on what goes in my mouth first.

Personal Information:
I'm turning 53 in December and I"ve ben on and off working on this excess menopausal weight for the last 3 years.
Well lets just do it.

Other Information:
My favorite place to hang out is our cottage in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. I love the outdoors!

I'm an avid reader - I used to be a library geek - now I'm a kobo geek - getting my fiction fixes electronically.

My goals right now are to get my bmi under 40 which is 32 lbs away- and to eat healthy meals I prepare at home as much as possible.

time to get rid of the junk in the trunk!

Thank you sooooo much for the kind words on my blog! :D I definitely have my share of "off times" with my eeating and my weight loss (sometimes gaining quite a few), but I do stay consistent with Spark and it helps me find my way back to my weight loss. :D emoticon
