I am a work in progress: physically, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually. I want to be ever changing. Every year of my life, I want to be better than I was the year before...
I cannot change yesterday, but I can affect change for tomorrow. I don't want a simple life or a life without obstacles and challenges; I want to live on the edge of all my possibilities.

1. I want to beat/shatter last year's triathlon time!
2. Fit into a size 8!
3. Maintain, maintain, maintain.
4. Help others believe that they really CAN do this!
Spark is my main accountability. I have been off and on lately and loosened up a great deal about the actual eating, but focusing more on the exercise component. I try to get to the gym 3-4 times per week and do a step aerobics DVD when I am not able to.
I live in the great, beautiful, wonderful Pacific Northwest!
I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength...

HI, I am glad that you started this new session of Take It. I really enjoy helping other people, and I know a lot about weight training, cardio, nutrition, and losing weight and how God will help us reach our goals!!!
I ENJOY putting a smile on someone’s face and reminding them that as they stay close to God He will help them with ALL their needs as they completely RELY ON HIM!&gr;em&lr;306&gr;/em&lr;
Everyone has their weak areas, or pit falls. This week end is right around the corner. Think about your goals and how you are going to put them into action for yourself. That is, if you are going out with a friend, what will you order if you go out to eat? What will your reply be if she asked you do go somewhere else for a snack? These little things you do to prepare yourself can often make the difference between an additional 200-500 calories that week end. So, as I support and encourage you, just remember, think about & chose your thoughts, words, and actions carefully, and create a healthy action plan, a week end survival plan if you will. Losing weight isn't something that JUST HAPPENS; you have to make it happen. That involves rules, guidelines, preparation, and being constituent.
We can't do all of the things I mentioned above without God. Oh, sure some of us can do it for a day, a week, and if we are very determined and lucky a whole month or more. However, don't you know how moody you become & exhausting it is!? We need to use and rely on God just as we use that new diet that you, at one time became excited about, or that shiny piece of equipment you just bought. Do you remember how encouraged you felt, do you remember thinking, "This time WILL be different! This time I am doing to do it!" But after the weeks of eating card board and tasteless cheese your taste buds rejected the "food". You were all excited when your watched the info commercial, but after the third week the thrill was gone, and you started using that shiny expensive piece of equipment as a hanger for your clothes!
When you use God to sustain your determination, when you ask God for His strength, and encouragement, it never gets old, never fizzes out, and is readily available.
This is not something I thought up in a day dream, or read about in a book!!! This is real life and I am sharing with you all the ways God helps me throughout my week! I have lost 35 pounds praying and relying on our awesome God, and so can YOU!!! When my lazy butt is too "tired” too go to the gym I pray and d ask God to help me get off my couch and stop watching TV and go to the gym. When I am face to face with my greatest sweet temptation it is God who holds my hand (and that fork!! LOL) When you put your trust and hope in Jesus, when you constantly pray for His help- I telling the truth- IT WORKS!!! And when I fail and give in, skip a work out, or have a three day failure, it is God who takes me by the hand, lifts me up, and holds me tight. He wipes the tears away, and tells me, " Just start over again and I will give you what you need." and you know what-it works!!! Ya, you got that RIGHT baby IT WORKS!!!
So, put a smile on your face and know and be prepared. This Take Ti goal is like no other, You put in your time, you make God a bigger part of your day by praying for help, and concentrating a weekly bible verses, do the exercises, and eat better, Girl YOU WILL BE ON YOUR WAY!!!. YOU CAN DO IT, YOU CAN DO IT!!! You can do it WITH JESUS BY YOUR SIDE!!!!!
