The reduction of me

Well-for those of you who look at my page, you'll probably see somewhere that I joined in 2004. I may have joined then, but didn't really get serious until Jan 2010. Since then, I have tried to be consistent in exercise and eating habits. I was doing great! Then in the summer of 2010, I was in the hospital with an asthma attack. All the weight I had lost came back. I almost felt like giving up. My doctor told me to just start back slowly and soon I'll be back to where I was. Well, I'm working ...

All the weight I had lost came back. I almost felt like giving up. My doctor told me to just start back slowly and soon I'll be back to where I was. Well, I'm working on it. Even if I do just 20 min of Wii Fit free step, I feel as though I've accomplished something. On most Saturdays I join another SP member for walks at the high school track. When we started, we'd go for 1/2 an hour. Now-we're up to an hour and at least 9 times around which is about 3 miles. I still have a ways to go, but I'm not pushing myself.

My Goals:
I have just a few goals. The main one is to have my clothes fit & just feel better about how I look. I dislike looking in the mirror because all I see is the 'flab'. And I want to change that.

My Program:
I'm very careful about breakfast, lunch, and snacks. For dinner, I eat half of what I used to eat. I don't deprive myself, but have just a couple bites. I work out doing 30 min of aerobics at least 3-4 days a week. And I can see and feel the differnce!

Personal Information:
I'm married to a great guy who is very supportive of my goals. Between us we have 4 daughters, 2 granddaughters, a grandson and another granddaughter on the way!

Other Information:
I love to cook and have quite a collection of cookbooks. Although yes, I do buy the pre-made, I believe food tastes much better when home made. I love my family which consists of my daughter, 3 stepdaughters, my husband and 4 dogs.

Thanks so much for responding to my introduction in the Maryland group's chat thread! Sorry to take so long to respond to you! I have been busy getting familiarized with Spark People! I am in St. Mary's county - just across the bridge from you! I just saw the southern Maryland team on your page - I will join!

Thanks!
Gail
