Journey to a Healthy Me - Recommitment to Myself

Hello,

The past three and a half years have been emotional ones for me and I let food be my comfort. It has been a time of figuring out who I am, while managing a full college work-load. I have not yet found a balance between taking time for myself to exercise and spend time with God with the college work-load.

I am on a journey to lose 56 pounds. It has been hard to do this and make the appropriate changes. Change is extremely hard for me. I resist big changes. ...

This is probably why I am exercising in spurts. I get good at doing it consistently for a short period of time and then fall back on my old ways. Slowly, but surely, I am changing. The journey is tough. It sure has its ups and downs, but with Christ I know I can create a healthier me.

God Bless!

Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the wall of 8 women who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out

Stopping by to check in and see how you are doing and to hopefully encourage your journey. I am focused this month on my way of thinking about food and health issues. Proverbs 23:7 says, "For as he thinks within himself, so he is" (NASB). Our thoughts greatly influence the things we do and I am realizing that I too easily revert back to old habits because I am not convinced in my heart and mind of some changes I need to make. So I am deliberately working to take every thought captive to obedience, recognizing those thought processes and search out new ideology / theology to correct my belief system where health issues are concerned. I pray for you and I today as we work to change from the inside out in ways that make us new creatures through and through.

BLESSings!
