Stacy's Adventure

My goal is to become healthy and comfortable in my own body. I have started drinking my water and easing into exercise this first month. Ok so far. A little impatience for results but I am making small steps that are becoming a habit. More small changes and more small changes will equal a giant step towards self-fulfillment.

Welcome to the Couch to 5k running group!!!! Stop by the message board and introduce yourself to the team. On the team page you will find a thread for each training week. Click on week one and post were you are at in your training. This is a great way to meet others who are in the same phase of training as you. Some of my best friends were in my training week one and we worked through the program together sharing victories, questions, comments, and ideas. I look forward to learning more about you. I will be popping in on the Weeks 1 - 3 training to help answer any questions that might pop up and to cheer you on to your goals! Be blessed! Be a runner!

You are so right about taking things slowly....I kept track of my calories, fat and carbs yesterday and it was HARD!! Of course I did see a few spots where I can make some minor changes that would pay off over time (low fat cream cheese, fat free cottage cheese, etc.) Also...my weight loss isn't really 15 pounds....it's still really only 12. I think I listed my starting weight as the one from the doctor's office and my current weight as the one from my scale...or I might have weighed that much on my scale a long time ago. In any case I am making some progress...that's what counts. I DO think I am going to try Jillian's 30 Day Shred though...I bought it but haven't tried it yet! Everyone says that it kicks your booty!

Okay....my cousin Scarlett (remember her) just informed me that she has lost 34 pounds since January 2nd!!!! She started out walking and now she's running over 4 miles a day. She said she did Nutrisystem for a month and now she's just recreating it at home....max of 1200 cal, 25 fat grams per day. I don't think I could DO less than 25 fat grams per day!! I'm so jealous though...I want to lose more weight. My weight is fluctuating so much right now...up 2-3 lbs and then back down. Do you track your food on sparkpeople?? I think I'm going to start tracking mine now.
