Looking for inner strength....

Hi am a 32year old female that has been on a roller coaster with my health and fitness for most of my late teens and twenties. I tend to stay with a program for about 6-8 weeks and then fall off the wagon. I am in hopes that this works for me...again!
I nearly reached my goal prior to my wedding day 8/30/08!! Thanks to sparkpeople and motivation I did get down to 129lbs!! I felt good,so that is what really mattered!

My Goals:
I am hoping to get down to 134lbs for my first goal

I want to be more positive about having to watch what I eat and exercise, because it's a way of life for me and my body type

I am discovering that I have a lactose intolerance and possibly a gluten sensitivity!

My Program:
I Exercise a minimum of 3 days a week.

I try to cook at least 3-4 times a week with healthy foods.

Personal Information:
Married to a wonderful man on 8/30/08!!!!
I nearly reached my goal weight. I felt good though at 129lbs! Thank you sparkpeople!! The more I track the less likely I will eat without thinking about it first!!

Other Information:
I just need a lifestyle change and not a temp fix.....

Thanks for your lovely comments and compliments. I guess we are rarely dished more than we can handle. I predict when you are blessed with children you will do a fantastic job. Seems like you are juggling a lot yourself and you seem to be doing it with class and elegance.

Thank you so much for your support, it truly means more than you can imagine. My friendship with "L" has been a whirlwind roller coaster, and regardless of how she takes the letter I know that I have my true friends and my Spark Buddies to support my decisions. It's not easy, but when we all are given some sort of excitement (weight loss, money, engagement) we all do something that could impact others (gain weight, lose money, univite a guest) but that's life... live & learn but NEVER regret :)

good luck on your weight loss too... ive been at 153 for 2 weeks now!!! grr... lol

Hi Stacy! Thanks for the comment. I wish I had some sort of trick, but I really don't. I just really tried to stay with the SP program. My big issue was portion size and not realizing how many calories were in certain foods (like cheese!). Once I started measuring my food, I realized that I was eating way more than one serving of cereal in the morning, etc. If I knew I'd be going out later, I'd "budget" calories for it so I wouldn't feel deprived, and I just tried to get A LOT more fruits and veggies than I normally eat. Good luck, and I'm sure you'll see those numbers on the scale fall soon!
