Working Towards a Wedding

Sept. 20: Hi there! I'm 26 years old and getting married in July. My fiance is about a foot taller than me, and about 15 pounds lighter. This alone is motivation to lose weight. :) I just started working out to P90X and I'm looking to eat healthier too. Motivation is high right now. I'm looking for ways to keep this motivation up so that I keep making good choices for my body.

Update Nov. 12: I weigh the same as my fiance. True story :) I'm rockin' the P90X Lean program ...

As I'm getting closer to my wedding (8 months away) I'm really thinking about my future. I want kids and I want to instill in them the healthy values that I didn't care about when I was younger. This pushes me to embrace these values now. How can I teach my future kids what I don't embrace, myself? Embrace what is good and get better :)

Update Feb. 16: The holidays are over and I weigh about the same as I did in November. Lent is approaching and I am pushing myself to get back on track. I can and will make goal.

My Goals:
My goal is to decrease my BMI to 21.5 (aka 125lbs). Currently my BMI is 27.8 (aka 162lbs). It's a goal. I'd be thrilled to drop my BMI to any part of "normal weight" but my eye is on the horizon of "bombshell in a bikini" by the time I get married :)

My Program:
I now eat 1200-1550 calories. I am trying hard to meet all of my nutrient requirements on Spark People. I am also trying to become more active.

Personal Information:
I am marrying the greatest guy in July :) We have an apartment and cat together now. I work in a craft store as a manager.

I am week 3 now. I tried P90X before but it didn't last a week so, I am committed this time. But I got frustrated with my eating problem and not much progress, I almost gave up yesterday losing wt. Today I am thinking positive and plan to get back to the program. I did ChaLean Extreme for a strength program before and it gave me some good definition on my shoulders and arms.
