Hi, my name is Shirley. I have been in Spark People for almost a year, and I am finally creating a spark page.
I have never done anything like this before ( creating this page), so hopefully, it will get better as I go along.

My Goals:
In July 2008, my fitness program was sidelined by a problem with my back. My goal was to lose the 40 lbs, I gained because of that.

My Program:
My current program includes tracking my food and fitness on Spark People.

Hey Shirley, I'm glad to help. I just copied the text from one that was posted on my comments. Just place your cursor over the text until it is all highlighted. Right click while cursor is on highlighted text and select copy. Then when you have begun a comment on your friend's page, just right click again and choose paste. The text should appear there for you.

Thanks for your feedback. Since I'm training to compete in 5K's I've been avoiding other types of cardio, hoping to keep my knees in decent shape. I haven't done as much cross training as I need to, but started back today.
Until about a month ago I was burning many more calories by doing more cardio, but when I started running I cut down the amount of time I spent on the treadmill / trail, so that did cut my calories burned. Will get back in the pool for my water aerobics, too , to mix things up.
