Lets Do It!

So here I go again. I lost 60 pounds 2 years ago using Spark People but I have let myself get out of the lifesyle that I worked so hard to build. But it is in the past and determined to get my lifestyle back. I am married to a wonderful man and have two amazing boys (7 and 8 yrs old). I am to the point of not having enough energy to be there for my kids. I WILL get my life back!!

My Goals:
I1) Workout every morning before work.

2) Completely cut out drinking tea and only water.

3) Complexly cut out sweets.

4) Run the October Fun Run 10K in October with my sister.

5) Sleep less.

6) Get outside more.

My Program:
1) I am setting my alarm for 4:50 am every morning so I can workout before work. This requires going to bed around 9:30pm.

2) I am keeping water with me constantly and saying no if tea presents itself.

3) I am not buying sweets when I go to the store. If they are not in the house then I cannot eat them. I am buying more fruits to help with the sweet tooth. The dreadful candy jar at work is still a threat but I am only taking 1 piece if I have to have one instead of taking 3-4.

4) I am walking daily on the treadmill and will bump up by speed weekly to prepare for the 10K. I have done one 10K in the past so I know where I need to be. I am wanting to start walking outside in the evening to get exposure to outside walking.

5) I have always battled sleeping too much. I think it's my way of coping with things. I think that if I follow through with all of my other goals this will fix itself. Working out and being more energetic will automatically make you

Personal Information:
My name is Shawna and I am a true born and raised Texan! I have been married to David for almost 12 years (together for almost 17). We have 2 amazing boys, Jaden and Peyton. I work full-time as a Medical Assistant for a Dermatology office. I LOVE my job. God is my strength and keeps me and my family going from day to day. Like my Mom always said, "God is good all the time." I look to my mom and sister for motivation. My sister's love for fitness and nutrition help me out a lot. She is always there to help me when I have a problem or just for support.

Other Information:
I have never kept a consistent weight. My whole life its been back and forth. I lost 43 lbs 4 years ago but I managed to gain it all back plus 20 extra pounds. Then I lost 60 lbs 2 years ago but I have gained most of it back due to relying on food for comfort. I do feel discouraged because everytime I lose I think that this time is really it but then "life" happens and I get comfort from food and the pounds start packing back on. I am hoping that this time is really it. I want to look to God's food for comfort instead of man made crap!!

Shawna, I just read your page and it made me tear up.I know all the struggles and I pray for God's strength and Grace for you. I am so very proud of you and KNOW you can do it. You have done it twice and believe that if you put your mind to something that you can do it. Including that true change for LIFE.

Sweetie that is fantastic!!! I am SOOO excited for you!! That is the first step. :) Now do that again today, watch your portions, drink your water, and keep a positive attitude and I KNOW you will be dropping those pounds in no time! I love you!!!!!

That is awesome girl!! You got me beat! LOL Haven't tracked my eating all week and hit the gym yesterday for ST but had to cut it short bc I didn't feel like waiting on people on the weight benches. :( It was very discouraging but I'm trying not to let it get me down.

I am SOOOO proud of you!!!!! Keep it up!!
