Food is not a reward

I recently started eating a low glycemic diet and I've already have felt the benefits. I eat less, yet I have more energy. Who knew?

As I was driving home yesterday from running errands, I thought "I've been good, I can treat myself to Scholtsky's." But then I thought about all the progress I've made and realized FOOD IS NOT A REWARD. When we reward ourselves for doing well, it should be a way to pamper ourselves, not something that sets us back from the progress we've made. ...

But then I thought about all the progress I've made and realized FOOD IS NOT A REWARD. When we reward ourselves for doing well, it should be a way to pamper ourselves, not something that sets us back from the progress we've made.

So I've decided that my reward for reaching my goal is to buy myself a 'real' wrap dress... not one of those mock ones I wear now. I real one... one that doesn't hide all the flaws. I will wear it with pride, as a way to show the world what I've accomplished.

I finished my first 5k last saturday and signed up to do another one in June. You were right they are addicting!
