2/2/14 So the new profile picture to the left shows me after 93 pounds gone. The same girlfriend who suggested I could do a 5k (and was right) gently suggested I might be an Aspie. Turns out, she was right there. The new pic to the left was part of a project she did for her nursing class, and I got to be in it. So she took the picture while I held the sign, and this one had special meaning to me. The three picture on the left show how much I've changed since I joined SparkPeople years ago. ...

Still losing weight, but at almost 100 pounds lost, I've gone from morbidly obese to only overweight, and I'm still working it off and loving it.
1/26/13 Holy Hannah, after a girlfriend suggested that I've been doing so much walking that I could do a 5K, on my birthday, that's just what I did. Wasn't running, walked it, but in just under an hour. I'm really digging life, and my new shrinking body. I'm thinking of getting a rowing machine for cross training now.
While there's still much truth to what I wrote below when I first joined Sparkpeople, I've come a long, long, long way in a few years. I still meditate, I still ride, I walk now too, and have been doing yoga now for a while too. In September of 2012 I was finally, diagnosed with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia and in October the test came back to confirm that and I started treatment. In January of 2013 I got my first tattoo, an Om on the inside of my left wrist, not the least of reasons to mark the transition from the life I'd had, to the life I'm having. And because it's part of meditations and yoga and I've wanted it for over ten years. Now seemed like the time. Since starting treatment for CAH I've lost 55 pounds finally, and am confident that I'll get the rest off. I'm shrinking, and growing, healing, and living a completely new life. It's been an amazing six months on so many levels, and I'm thankful to my GP for the referral to a good, REALLY good, Endo who has changed my life in ways I'll spend the rest of my life figuring out.
I'm in recovery from a horrible divorce and major changes to my life because of domestic violence. But I'm a good girl, working hard toward a better life. I meditate, ride my bike as often as I can, and simply love it! March 27 of 2010 I got a new bike, and since then I've ridden over 4092 miles. I've also recently found my way to Yoga thanks to the "Yoga Rebel" Tara Stiles. She's amazing.
Well Dec of 2012 came and I'd passed 4070 miles, so now I'm going on. The good news is thanks to the feedback of a friend, and a new doctor, I'm finally losing weight. So my new goal is to get my weight down. Finally! And it's going!

3/31/13 Lost 25 pounds so far.

5/21/13 Lost 52.6 pounds so far, I'm jazzed!
6/04/13 Lost 55.4 pounds so far, had to buy a few pieces of new clothing to hold me over. Went shopping at Target! Woot!
6/28/13 Lost 62 pound so far and am recovering from a crash that landed my in the hospital a week ago.
8/16/13 Lost 75 pounds at this point, and I'm still going down. Shrinking. And it thrills me!
10/7/13 Lost 84 pounds at this point and I'm well on track toward my goal. Jeans I've not been able to wear in ten years are now loose on me and need a belt. I'm shrinking!
1/1/14 I've lost 93 pounds at this point and I'm hoping to get to 100 pounds gone by March 27th.
I've decided I'm going to kick it up a bit and start training for a 5k. Me? Running? Holy Hannah! And now it's very nearly official. Everyday for the last 14 days I've turned in 10,000 steps or better, yest
Riding and walking as much as I can, as often as I can and soon running too!
Created a new budget to put more money into savings each month.
Added some yoga into my life as well!
