Stephanie's New Life

Update - life got in the way and I put 20 lbs back on, but things in my life have recently improved, stress levels are down, and I'm ready to get back on track and start losing again. Frankly, with the massive stress I've had, I'm happy to have ONLY put on 20 lbs, but I was much happier without it, so it's time for it to GO!

12 months in, and I'm hovering right around that 50lbs lost. No further progress due to all sorts of major upheavals in my life, but I'm happy to have ...

No further progress due to all sorts of major upheavals in my life, but I'm happy to have maintained. Things are settling down, and I'm going to get back on track. My goals will roll into the next year, and I plan to be 75lbs down by the end of May!

9 months in, 50 lbs down! I can jog for 20 minutes on the treadmill (I'm on c25k week 6), and almost a half mile outdoors. Still playing tennis until the weather forces us to stop.

Almost 7 months in, and I reached the 40lbs lost mark! Yay! Now I am doing week 4 of c25k - that's two intervals of 3 minutes and 5 minutes jogging! I'm also regularly playing tennis with the hubby, I walked my first 5K race, and I'm feeling great!

5 months and 30 lbs down. I can run 3 minutes straight, or a quarter mile. I couldn't even do that when I was a kid!

4 months in and 25 lbs down, and I'm feeling awesome! I can't believe how much more energy I have, and how much my general outlook has changed!

To start with: I am 42 and bigger than I want to be. I long to be active, and be out hiking and bicycling and doing wildlife photography, and instead life has me stuck behind a computer much of the time. This year I aim to change all that, learn to eat right, and get out and enjoy the great outdoors!

Most days staying off the computer would sound good to me too.

You are going to cringe when I tell you that my mom gave away my old Canon Rebel 35 mm...with my lenses and flash!!! I'm not letting her know that it's a fortune in accesories that she gave to Goodwill because she'd feel awful and she didn't realize that most of it would be interchangeable with the DSLR that I want to get. But still.... *sigh* Probably my fault for leaving it at their house anyhow. emoticon

Thanks for the information! Hope your doctor check up went well.
