We were just ata great Antique Cycle show in Oley Pa this weekend, got a lot of favorable comments on my bike and saw some nice stuff, planning on finding a 52-57 Sportster to build gfor karen. We live by the ocean and it is pretty flat here so it was nice riding in the mountains. We are thinking of taking a trip out to western NC in a few weeks to see the Wheels through Time Museum, probalby tow the bike out. Gotta get back to watching diet and training hard on Mon.
It is beautiful to ride in this area, to be sure. We occasionally ride over the mountain to a biker-magnet store over in Shady Valley. Talk about gorgeous! The only problem is it is soooo curvy and there are several hairpin curves that cause our footboards to drag!
I'm supposed to go look at a tiller today. Maybe, just maybe... I'll try a little veggie garden...
As far as training, I mostly just try to stay active outdoors as much as possible. I walk 6 or so miles a week, weather permitting, and use the elliptical when I can't get out. I need a stricter regimen, I think!
Wow1 Bet that is a nice area to ride! Wanna get out there one of these days! No Mountains here, completely flat unlike NJ where we moved from. Nice thing is the beach is ten minutes away. We real rainy then real hot last year,. Was our first year for a garden and didnt do great! Off to the gym in a bit! How do you guys train? 2501 days ago
Tennessee... at the foothills of the Appalachians. We have a lovely growing season here. I just think last year was a bad year for blight in this area as I talked to several other people who had the same problem. Or it coulda been me! LOL 2501 days ago
