If you're like me, I went from smoking to snacking. It worked to get me off nicotine and stop the damage I did to my lungs, but it turned into another addiction. :(
Especially when I am having bad breathing days I snack. I snack when I get depressed (which has been often lately).
So, for me to start losing weight I had to think of food like I did cigarettes when I quit. We need food to survive. Thinking of your body like a machine... You need fuel, but too much fuel is a waste, too rich of oil and the engine begins to break down, not enough water and it over heats.
My body has been over fed, under watered and abused. LoL So, now I am taking baby steps like I did when I was smoking. I still snack, but it's on carrots, or sherbet or sliced tomatoes.
Have you seen those exercise shoes that the bottom is curved round? I have a friend that has had foot problems her whole life and she swears by them! She says that because the bottoms of the shoes are curved round like a rocker... even when her toes are bothering her she can walk... like just rocking her foot forward instead of taking steps. Know what I mean? Anyway.. Skechers make them... but she said that Avon has some also. Maybe you should try them.
