A Healthy Journey

6 weeks of SP and it's so much easier now....sort of becomes the lifestyle I should have started years ago! The pounds lost so far, as well as inches, is my motivation to keep moving forward. I'm really enjoying new recipes and the thought that goes into fueling our bodies with nutritious food. I'm at a good pace to reach my goals by October :)

My Goals:
- fuel my body with nutritional food
- make exercise part of my lifestyle; alternating strength training with cardio sessions; dedicating no less than 45 minutes 5-6 days a week
- drop 3 pant/dress sizes
- cook healthy meals for my family at least 4 nights a week

My Program:
* Daily tracking of all food and exercise on SP
* 8 hours of sleep
* grocery shopping is 90% completed along the perimeter of the store (produce, dairy, fresh meats)...minimal items needed from the isles!!
* weekly weigh-in and monthly measurements
* mental reminders that slow/steady weightloss is healthier and more likely to stay off!!!

Personal Information:
I'm a lifelong Michigan resident, mother of 3 (29, 25, 16) and wife of 30 years to an amazing man! I'm a Christian and believe that God desires us all to live healthy lifestyles, fueling our mind & bodies with smart choices.

Other Information:
I'm a Technology Director for a public school district and often find my job a bit on the stressful side. SP is helping me learn to make healthy choices, even while at work.
