Hello! Thank you for stopping by to view my sparkpage!!! My name is Leah and I started my weight loss journey about 6 years ago. I gained and lost weight previously but let my weight get WAY out of control in 2005. I hated looking at myself in the mirror and said really mean things to myself. I would NEVER talk to a friend the way I used to talk to myself. In September of 2005, I decided to make a change and started my weight loss journey which, after a lengthy period of time, lead to a lifestyle change. From September 2005 - June 2006 I lost 58 lbs and have been hovering around my goal weight of 128 every since then.
I have decided that this is a LIFESTYLE CHANGE and not just a "diet". I feel better about myself and am looking for friends and support to help keep me motivated!!! It is very easy to become complacent when you reach your goal weight. I don't want to get so comfortable that I resort back to my sedentary, overeating days!
REMEMBER THIS!!! Every day that you eat well and exercise brings you one day closer to reaching your goal. You can do it!!!! Lose the weight and keep it off!!!

EXCITING THINGS TO COME:
I have truly been blessed by Sparkpeople. I was humbled by the opportunity to take part in the first SP Convention, which took place in May 2009. I was able to share my story with SP members and it was an amazing experience! I love being able to show people, by example, that it is possible!!
Shortly after that, SP contacted me about another opportunity to share my spark story and I JUMPED at the chance. You can read a little bit more about my journey in "The Spark." Pick up your copy TODAY!! It was released the last week in December 2009. I am so excited!!! Because of the book, I am looking forward to taking this journey to the next level. BRING IT ON!!!! Big thanks to the Sparkguy himself, Chris Downie, and all the SP staff (Jenny, Beth, Nancy, Grant). You have made this year part of an incredible journey. I had some major heartbreak this year but, as it comes to a close, will look back with a smile because of my experiences here on spark!
Continue running pain free and decrease my 5k and Half Marathon times.
Increase the amount of fruits and veggies I eat and decrease the amount of processed foods.
Continue to maintain my weight and tone up!
My program entails logging everything I eat and eating around 1200 calories per day. I do eat my exercise calories back. I drink about 64 oz of water/tea each day. My exercise regimine consists of mostly running with a little bit of spin and minimal amounts of swimming thrown in. I need to diversify a little bit!
In the future, I would like to include strength and toning exercises.
I am a 33 year old mom of 1 daughter, age 16 and two cats. I live in San Diego, CA!
I love God and am working on getting my life right with Him first! I enjoy running, working out, reading chic lit, knitting (I just learned how!), spending time with my family, eating out, going to church, trying new things and I absolutely LOVE hiking!!!
