When I first created this page in August of 2011 I was 248 pounds. By May of 2012 I had reached 182 pounds. I must admit that I was "feeling" myself. Although I wasn't at my goal weight I allowed myself to get too comfortable and I hit a plateau for close to 2 months. When I first created this page in August of 2011 I was 248 pounds. By May of 2012 I had reached 182 pounds. I must admit that I was "feeling" myself. Although I wasn't at my goal weight I allowed myself to get too comfortable and I hit a plateau for close to 2 months. Then something unfortunate happened in my life and I began my vicious habit of emotional eating and within a month I had gained back 10 pounds of the 66 that I had lost. I am happy to say that I have decided to rededicate myself to my weight loss goals. This is all a part of the journey and I am learning to embrace it each day. Not every day is going to be perfect. That's life. I thank God that I was able to jump back on the right path before it got too far out of hand unlike so many times before.
Follow me as I embark on my life changing journey. There will be sweat, there will be tears, and perhaps even some blood :). But it will all be worth it when I finally reach my goal weight of.....145 pounds!!
I see my future self as a beautiful, healthy, and successful woman with an amazing and exciting life. I see myself wearing all of the latest fashions without being ashamed of fat bulges and hitting the social scene without being uncomfortable because I am the elephant in the room. I see myself being feminine and sexy and confident in situations I would have never thought I had the courage to be a part of. My dreams are so big for my future self and the only one that is stopping me is.....me. Today I woke up and realized that I am my future self right now.

I like your goals. You can do anything you put your mind to! Good luck with your program. There are a lot of great resources on Sparkpeople. I am doing the Couch to 5 K program right now to work on my running goals. I would love to run the Boston Marathon someday. I work with Adults with DD and ID...very special population.
Hi Sindistar I also started recently at 106kg so we are more or less in the same boat. Lets do this and put an end to this weight nonsense. Will look forward to seeing your numbers shrink. Good luck and good journey
