Spirit to persevere

I have been with Spark People since March of '08. I have lost a total of 23 lbs, so far. I came across an illness that has slowed me down a bit but I'm willing to push forward and fight for the last 18 lbs that I need to lose.

If you're just getting started here are a few things to keep in mind (and trust me, they work!):

1. Don't give up or give in.

2. Start off slowly if you need to but be sure to add a little bit more to each day.

3. If you drink soda or other sugary drinks- STOP. Replace with water or tea. Takes awhile to get used to but it's the best thing I ever did for myself.

4. Eat small, well balanced meals 5 x's a day. It helped me.

5. Most importantly, set realistic goals for yourself.

M-F*Treadmill-
Warm up: 5 min @ 2.5 -3 mph

Jog at 4.5 mph for 20-30 min

Circuit training
dvd-30 Day Shred

Eating- 3 well balanced meals a day 1300-1400 calories a day.

2 snacks/day





Other Information:
I love photography and write poetry in my spare time. I also love gaming online and via consoles. Wii is a great exercise tool!!

How are you doing?

I am the new leader of the "Losing Pounds 2 at a Time" team. It would be good if you could come and see what changes I've made ~ and give me ideas as to how I can improve things.

I'm putting the glasses out emoticon and putting the kettle on emoticon and waiting for you to come by and visit.

I know that together we can so do this ~ and its what you really want..... isn't it?
