Today, October 14, 2012, I am back after a 3 1/2 month break to deal with the death of my beloved dog, Jack. I know logging in was a start. I got the daily emails from Spark, I got the recipes, I just could not log in. But today I did it. next step, I am changing the profile... updating. Tomorrow I hope to start more steps towards getting back to losing weight.
I gained 13 lbs since I lost Jack. I lost two of those, and now sit here, knowing I need to get back in the sadddle, or back on ...

I gained 13 lbs since I lost Jack. I lost two of those, and now sit here, knowing I need to get back in the sadddle, or back on the treadmill as it is. I did dust it off a few days ago. Guess that was a step forward as well.

My Goals:
My goals are to get in better shape, tighten my tummy and ... well I am sure I will come up with more.
Goal #1 - Lose the 13lbs I gained since Jack died.
Goal #2- 259 lbs -
Goal #3 - 249 lbs -
Goal #4 - don't know yet
My Program:
Not sure right now, just restarting today 10 /14/2012. Will update as I figure it out.
Other Information:
I am a serious animal lover, especially large dogs. I have a little calico cat, Titten, who thinks she is one of the dogs, and two black labradors , named Kayce (2 yrs) and Diesel (4 months).
I also have in my heart forever, my boy Jack, an 8 1/2 yr old lab mix who was diagnosed with cancer March 13th, 2012. And who lost his short battle with malignant melanoma on June 30th, 2012.
I did not really want a new puppy. But Kayce was miserable as an only dog. She missed Jack greatly. She would stare at me, then look at the door, and back at me. As if I forgot to bring him home. She stopped doing all her normal dog stuff, stopped sleeping in my room, stopped chewing rawhides, seemed to be searching for Jack everywhere we went. Six weeks of this and the vet suggested a puppy, or meds. Seriously? so, I thought about it and figured, I bought Jack a house, least I could do was buy Kayce a puppy....
