Update 4/12/14: Another sister joined Sparkpeople and she goes by ALICIA363. I am puttering along, mostly for the community. I do track my fitness, but tracking food tends to backfire on me. When I try to track food, I will just not eat because I don't want to track it. I am starting to develop the ability to notice when I am full and stop eating. When I don't, and overeat, I feel miserable, and that has kept me accountable for the most part. I think too, I am happier living on my own, away from my STBX. I know nutritionally I could still improve my choices, but for now, I am not arguing that I feel better and the scale is ever so slowly showing smaller numbers.

Update 3/3/2014: Now living in Iowa, where I got my first PTA (Physical Therapist Assistant) job. In the process of getting divorced, and 13 yr old son moved to Iowa with me last week. I started my job on November 22, and have loved almost every minute of it. The minutes I haven't loved are things that are annoyances that come with any job.

I lived in Nebraska and completed an Associate's degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant in March 2013. As of August 5th, 2013 I am licensed in the State of Nebraska.

Part of my motivation to join Sparkpeople was that while I was on my final clinical rotation Jan-March 2013, I lost 11.8 pounds. My profile pic is after that loss, but my "starting point" from here forward. I would like to lose more, but most definitely I want to keep it off.

For those of you who have been around for awhile, or if you wonder who the heck I am, I may have come across something you posted on one of my sibling's pages. ONEKIDSMOM is my sister and MOBYCARP is my brother. Now they have me sparking too. Currently I am mostly puttering, but at least trying.

I highly recommend the kettle bell. I got mine on target for under $30. It is not the conventional metal weight, but it can come apart so it can be 5 lbs or 8 lbs or 9 lbs or 12 lbs. I started with 8 last night and got through 1/2 the workout and took off 1 section and worked with 5 for the last part. It doesn't require much space and there are lots of youtube kettle bell workouts.
