Hi SpinMinn -- welcome to 5'3" and under. I'm almost the same as you at 5'2 and my heaviest weight was 162. I felt very matronly at that weight, and have finally decided I need to do something about it. Like you, without being under 1200 calories I could not lose. My habits have changed now and I find I can eat quite a lot and still be at about 1000 calories. I generally have a smoothie for breakfast (250 to 300 calories) and many times for lunch I will open a can of soup, usually Progresso, where one cup is somewhere between 80 to 120 cal. I usually eat not quite a whole can, so about 1.5 servings. I enjoy it with a slice of whole wheat bread by Sara Lee (only 45 calories). Many times in the afternoon I will have a snack of fat free/sugar free pudding -- the kind you buy in little packets, or perhaps an ounce of almonds. Dinner I never eat more than 3 oz of meat, I especially like chicken or fish and I'll have 2 servings of veggies with it. I used to eat a lot of salads (gotta watch that dressing!) but found I'm not hungry for them lately.
