Aiming to lose weight, eat healthily and get fit.
I turned 40 2 years ago and it sparked me to start looking at how I live my life, who am I now, what goals do I have? It's time for me to put some care and attention into myself as an individual instead of being lost in being a wife and mother.
I lost 65 pounds in 2011, then as 2012 went on and we moved house I got out of my routines, didn't fit in my 3 runs a week every week, stopped goal setting, started eating just that one biscuit that turns into a run of sweet snacks through the afternoon and evening, and gained 16 pounds.
So I'm refocusing on me as a healthy whole important person and starting tracking on Sparkpeople again.
Lose 6 pounds in 6 weeks
Keeping to my calorie range and doing 3 runs a week, plus a pilates class and a zumba class.
Tracking food using Sparkpeople.
I'm 42, married to Bob for 17 years and we have 2 lovely sons ages 7 and 14. We live in Oxfordshire, England.

We had a very nice Christmas. I am so glad that all my kiddos are home, especially my college girl who is on break until Jan. 15! I've been doing my share of tasting treats, but we cut WAY back on the cookie-making, added more veg/fruits to the menus, and I've been trying to hold back with my portions. I've been keeping up with my exercise, too--even was warm enough here to go for a run on Christmas Eve day! The weather has been bizarre--in the 40's the last few days and all our snow melted! Last year at this time we had close to a foot of snow and COLLLLLLD temps! I'm sure the cold will show up soon... until then I've taken advantage of the nice weather to be out in the fresh air!

How is it going? Are you ready for Christmas? Do you have a plan for staying healthy while be surrounded by TONS of sugar?! LOL!
I'm hoping to stay on track most of the month, while slightly "living it up" at our neighborhood Christmas party and then Christmas Eve/Day. I did do some cookie baking, but it's all in the freezer until those parties, when they can come out and I will contribute to everyone else's calorie intake! haha!
