My Own Everest

Hi Sparkies! I'm Sarah and I look like this. I'm 50, fat, fierce, fortunate and forgetful. I'm here because I want to share support and not feel alone in this journey. I often feel like the obesity thing is the battle of my lifetime. Like this is the thing I came here to learn. So I'm starting once again.

Hi Sarah! I saw your post on the Indy Girl new member thread and it appears we have some things in common. I just turned 49 and although I live in Florida and am not diabetic (so far I have dodged that bullet) it runs very heavy in my family with both my parents, a sister and a nephew all diagnosed. About 1.5 yrs ago I finally got off my a$$ and started this journey for the umpteenth time and have been more successful than ever although trust me it is sometimes a daily struggle. I knew with my family medical history of diabetes, heart disease and high blood pressure my days were numbered but I know my success has added years to my life and it sounds like you have the mindset to do the same thing. Just wanted to welcome you and wish you the best. Pat emoticon emoticon emoticon
