Want to lose at least 50 lbs this year (it's my New Year's Resolution!).
I'm a stay at home mom and full time student. Love my life, except for the fact that I'm hugemongous. I was always pretty plump, but got my weight down to 139 lbs before I got married (and maintained it!). But I gained it all back--30 lbs after getting married (hubbie's eating habits are horrible, bless him) and 50+ lbs with my pregnancy.
Now I'm getting back in shape so that I can finally feel good about myself again and be a better, more active mom for my little girl!
(Plus, I've struggled with ED for a few years, but am trying to improve my eating habits. I find that if I don't practice diligent self-control, I lose it altogether. I've been doing really well for the past month or so--and plan to stay on track!)
SW: 230 lbs (back in August, before joining this site)
CW: 200 lbs
GW1: 190 lbs (out of the 200s! yeah!) - DONE
GW2: 180 lbs (my weight in high school)
GW3: 170 lbs (prepregnancy weight)
UGW: 140 lbs (by next year)
Also, quit smoking! This is really hard, but I've decided not to buy any more. We'll see what happens...
Low-carb diet and exercise. Nothing too special, just taking care of myself better.
I'm from a small town. I'm a writer and a student working on a BA in English (eventually plan to get into a teaching program). Happily married for three years! I have a big (I mean, BIG) family and weight issues run in it. *shrug*

People disappear for all sorts of reasons. Life gets in the way, we forget or change our views on what we deem is important, we get buried under stress, frustration, illness. We sometimes give up, throw in the towel, or just promise ourselves that once things get better/easier/calmer, we will hitch up our socks and come back fresh. We've all done it. We've all been there. And if perhaps, you just need a supportive hug, or a helping hand or a word of inspiration, please know that I am offering it to you with no judgment, no guilt. It seems like it's been a while since you've been here and I just wanted to let you know that you are missed.

I know I'm a couple days early, but I may not have time to post on the weekend, so...
~~ If only for today: smile a little more, sing a bit off key, laugh loudly and long, dance, skip, jump, play. Eat with your hands, hug every kind soul that crosses your path. Finger-paint, face-paint, body-paint. Do something brave. Squash a fear. Get out of your shell. Wear something sparkly. Be wild, be strong, be silly. For being foolish can make you happy but being happy will never make you a fool. ~~ Michelle

Happy Almost Spring!! This coming Tuesday marks the Spring Equinox and in preparation for the first day of the new season I would like to wish you a brand new start, never-ending moments of poise and balance and a joyful tip over on the scale to the side of light. I wish you a new dawn, an eternal youth and a morning star to wish on. Whatever battles you are fighting, whatever stresses may come your way, may they melt away with the winter and may you be granted a time of new light and a new life where your wildest dreams come true. ~ Michelle
"Celebrating the Spring Equinox: The spring equinox is one of the four great solar festivals of the year. Day and night are equal, poised and balanced, but about to tip over on the side of light. The spring equinox is sacred to dawn, youth, the morning star and the east. The Saxon goddess, Eostre (from whose name we get the direction East and the holiday Easter) is a dawn goddess, like Aurora and Eos. Just as the dawn is the time of new light, so the vernal equinox is the time of new life." - from http://www.schooloftheseasons.com/spring.h

Thanks for the goodie!
I HAD to add you as a friend just so I can see Pinkie Pie on my friend's list!! I'm actually not the fan in our household. My 15yo and 16yo boys are totally obsessed with all things pony! Yes, they are BRONIES! The older one has about 4 t-shirts that are undecorated except for a cutie mark on the lower edge. And yes, they do like girls.... LOL!
