Hey there Donna....are you still Sparking? I was just thinking of you as Jeff is getting ready to come home -- he will be done in a couple of weeks and is not re-enlisting. I was wondering if Josh came home after his first enlistment or if he's still in? I remember how supportive we were to each other when they were young pups heading to boot camp! Now they are big strong Marines with 4 years under their belts. Time sure flies.

Hey Donna....me again! I'm just thinking about you, and about Josh, and wondering how everything is going? Jeff is halfway done with his active duty now - seems like just yesterday he was leaving for boot camp! Time is flying by.....how are you?

Yeah, I left Jeff's room as it was too....but this time is different. He's married now and starting his own home....not going to the barracks but to on-base housing, and taking his bed, dresser, all clothes, books, knick-knacks, etc. So, all I'm keeping is memorabilia and a few special things such as his Harry Potter book collection, etc. (((sigh))) I'm happy for him, but it's stressful too. And deep down I'm happy to be saving that memorabilia....otherwise the walls would be bare, and I don't think I'd like that. It's funny, after awhile you get used to them being gone....but then they come home and you have to go through the separation anxiety all over again. Just one more thing a Military Mom goes through!

    Hi Donna,

Good to see you Sparking! How have you been? Yes, Jeff is home, but his leave was way to short and he is leaving again around noon tomorrow. This time he is moving everything out, so it seems so much more permanent than ever before. The movers will be out in two weeks to load it all up to take to Hawaii. I'm starting to get sad, but must remember that he's starting a new, exciting phase of his life. Happy for him....but I do hate good bye's :o(
