Once Upon a Time...

There was a child who turned into a teen and then a young woman. She went to college and graduate school and was thin her whole life. She didn't know anything about diet or exercise, but she was a dancer and that was enough. At 25 she got married and had a baby. Her activity level went way down and her weight increased. She got out of shape. She was tired all the time and didn't exercise. At a friends suggestion she joined Weight Watchers and lost the weight she wanted and felt good. ...

She got out of shape. She was tired all the time and didn't exercise. At a friends suggestion she joined Weight Watchers and lost the weight she wanted and felt good. Then she had another baby and life changed. Her marriage changed and she was not so interested anymore in looking after herself. She got depressed and didn't care. She told herself she was content being fat. But deep down she wasn't .

I have been a member of SparkPeople since 2009 and have fluctuated in weight, with 170 being the constant number. A new year again, and again the resolution to drop it. I just turned 40.

Way to go, 5 days of consecutive working out... Can I add you as a friend? It looks like we have a lot in common... I have two boys, love to scrapbook and crochet (don't know the first thing about sewing though...); I did a bootcamp in feb-mar 09, and have lost 12 pounds since January 09... but have not been very active lately and hope to get back to it... maybe we can cheer each other on? emoticon
