I started my quest to lose weight on September 11, 2005 after having the last of my three children. I'm a happily married, stay at home mom really wanting to make a change in my life. I have committed myself to this challenge and hope to make a difference in my life and my families life.

In December 2005, I was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer. Boy, was this a shocker. It's called Fibromyxo Sarcoma. It's a soft tissue cancer. The tumor was removed after two surgeries and now I am cancer free. I had to stop working out for approx. 45 days and that was really hard to do, but, I started back up again with ease.

I had lost a total of 73 lbs. with hopes of losing another 30 lbs. to meet my goal weight. There have been some mountains to climb this last year and I've really gotten off track. I had completely stopped everything I worked so hard for. 2008, I am giving it my all again. I hope to do this for myself, my friends and my family. I need to get my head straight again and I'm hoping this will help me.

I hope this website continues to give me the motivation I need to lose. I want to live a long, healthy life.

I also hope to motivate others to want to live a long and happy life!

My Goals:
I''ve never been into dieting or working out, but, after having three children I have gained quite a bit of weight and just feel unhealthy. I''m on my way to living a healthier life and hope to encourage others along the way to do the same. I really have amazed myself.

Although, there has been some things going on in my life over the last year which made me lose track of the great feeling I had, I want to get back there again. I'm hoping 2010 will be a better year.

My Program:
My original plan below was so successful, I'm going back to that "slowly" again. I have reduced my calorie intake to approx. 1300-1500 calories per day. I work out 5-6 days per week doing 60 minutes of Taebo, 35-45 minutes on the treadmill or running and every other day of weight training for 30-40 minutes. My total workout is about 1 1/2 - 2 hours per day. I sometimes try a workout video "On Demand" to change things up a bit.

Personal Information:
I was born in Upstate NY and moved to Northern California when I was 19. I met my husband Tim (US Marine) and we moved to his home state of Texas. We have since been transferred to Pittsburgh, Pa. with his job and we love it! I''m the mother of 3 children, ages 9, 7, and 4. They certainly keep me busy and we have so much fun together. They are so funny at these ages! Cherish them dearly!
