I found out on 3/28/2014 at 0920hrs that I have diabetes. The new me is now losing weight and eating right and is taking CONTROL of the situation. I will not have diabetes ruin my life. I will win! "My life is not over, it's just changing." This quote was made up by my husband to me, so I would understand that my life is not over. Since then I have said this quote every day and it's even posted on my bathroom mirror. It is so inspiring especially since my husband made the quote just for me. ...

My current BMI is: 36.8 (Obsesity).

Where I need to be on my BMI: 20.8 - 24.0 (Normal)

Why I want to lose weight:
1) To take control of diabetes and not have diabetes take control of me.

2) I want to feel and look good (body image).

3) I want to stop hiding behind big or oversize clothes.

4) To become more involve with health and fitness.

5) To become a teacher and show others how to control Diabetes.
