Unfortunately...I blew it! I have regained a lot of the weight that I lost. Not all of it, but enough that it is showing :(

I am still going to claim the weight I lost two years ago because it took a lot of hard work and determination. I earned all the happiness it brought me too. I just let life's little irritations sneak up on me and defeat me.

I am back on the wagon as of today. I know what to do and how to do it. The trick is ..... actually DOING it.

I have not lost all the progress I made, but enough to make a difference. And enough to make me sad that I quit trying, and enough to make me determined to never do that to myself again.

My Program:
I plan to show up a to the gym at least 5 times a week.
I plan to try a variety of exercises.

I plan to conquer the elliptical machine -- I did it before; I can do it again!

I plan to make permanent changes for my sake and the sake of my family.

Personal Information:
I teach fourth grade. I have been teaching for 16 years. I have a little girl, 9.
I was a dancer and a soccer player in junior high, and a varsity cheerleader in high school. I know what it is like to be in shape and at a healthy weight. I miss it.
I lost my parents in 2006 and 2008. They both went too soon...and both form complications associated with obesity. I don't want to think that I might follow in their footsteps.
I have the support of a good doctor and lots of friends....and I have lost 65 pounds so far.

Other Information:
I spent 2010 making up for lost time. I lost 65 pounds over the course of a year and a half, and I continue to work on it. I have developed habits to take me through the rest of my life. Exercise is a reward now, not a punishment. Food and I have come to an understanding as well....
I am making goals for myself that a year ago I would have laughed at. NO MORE! I have seen what I am capable of....

    Happy Monday. How was your weekend. I spent mine cleaning and packing boxes. My sweet hubby gave me two dozen roses and today my co-workers surprised me and took me out to lunch (I had a salad).

    Feeling good today.

    Goals today were water, healthy food choices and to wrap up some business I have been putting off.

    It’s Friday! Last day of the work week for me. I’m not feeling super great today. A little bout of some stomach thing so I am eating crackers and drinking lots of water right now trying to settle it a bit. Weird my friend ate the same thing I did yesterday and I have been sick and she hasn’t. Any whoo

    I hope you join me in setting some attainable goals this weekend. WE can do this!

    I have a long day planned today so I wanted to shoot by some Spark pages really fast.

    I am getting my exercise in by sorting, organizing and packing both at work and home. We are a non-profit so I spent the day in our donation room –working outside in the heat organizing Whew! And you already know I’m doing the same at home. Hey!!! I’ll take it….keeps me moving.
    I hope you’re joining me in making good food choices and drinking lots of H2O….it’s so hot here so we need our water.

    Work day was stress day so a quote that is fitting because it is difficult at times to be a supervisor

    Never allow anyone to rain on your parade and thus cast a pall of gloom and defeat on the entire day. Remember that no talent, no self-denial, no brains, no character, are required to set up in the fault-finding business. Nothing external can have any power over you unless you permit it. Your time is too precious to be sacrificed in wasted days combating the menial forces of hate, jealously, and envy. Guard your fragile life carefully. Only God can shape a flower, but any foolish child can pull it to pieces.
