I have joined the 2013 Spring Into Summer 5% Challenge and am on the 2013 Awesome A Team Spring! My goal is to lose a bit of weight each week to meet my goals. I am using Spark videos on my new plan. I have joined the 2013 Spring Into Summer 5% Challenge and am on the 2013 Awesome A Team Spring! My goal is to lose a bit of weight each week to meet my goals. I am using Spark videos on my new plan. I love Coach Nicole! I love Spark videos where I can sit and work out. In June I will be on Spark five years! woohoo! Four years on Spark fighting through major and minor health issues along way - may have detoured me on my journey to health but it has never waylaid me to leave spark. I continue to Spark on through it all - learning new ways to gain health. I have left 6 specialists in the medical field - woohoo! and I have gained so much health! I have had twelve surgeries/procedures - eight within the last 9 years. I dont make resolutions. I make commitments to myself, knowing that along the pathway to health, I will take many detours on this journey. I do have goals I strive to meet. I have learned that I have to be willing to give and to take, push and to shove, fighting my way - full blast head first through conflict, defeat, and sometimes even despair. But, always on my way I go. I know that my God, well He is limitless. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I shall overcome and I shall not give in. One health issue after another, does not get me down, it builds me up. Come back soon.. I change my theme often!

My Goals:
I have gained health as I changed my eating habits and added exercising to my daily life. I have added strength training - I will never cheat myself again by not doing this! I live in 3rd stage Kidney Failure, OA in my left ankle, Graves Disease, Thyroid Disease, allergies, asthma. I have lowered my cholesterol, gotten my asthma, headaches, and sinus issues under control. I have become more mobile and flexible. I am now able to walk everyday. I am healthier. Now I want to lose some weight. This used to read: be able to walk and be healthier: Goal MET.
My Program:
I try to eat 8 servings of fruits & veggies every day. I do not eat fast food, or pre-packaged food. 99% of my meals I cook from scratch. When I eat out - I stick to very basic foods.
Personal Information:
I live in Yale Michigan. I am 50 years old. Married to Don. We have 4 grown children and 6 grandchildren. I have a dog - Brutus, and a cat - Fred. I swim, walk, and play outside with my Rottie. I love my Lord Jesus Christ!
Other Information:
I love to watch movies with my husband. We still date after 25 years. I especially love time with my grandchildren I want to be healthy. One of my favorite quotes: If you ignore your health it will go away. I am an Organ Donor advocate. Become an organ donor today. 19 of us will die today. I believe in LOVE, Forgiveness and restoration. God is GREAT!
