This is more accurate of me right now. I'm on the right. It's from Wicked in Boston (which was fantastic) this past November. Definitely go see it!

I will be the first to admit that 2007 was not the best for me physically. The good news is that 2008 is going to make up for all of those health problems in '07.

This year, I'm getting healthy. My focus is not to lose weight but to live a healthier lifestyle. I want to get my asthma under control, I want to be comfortable with making dinner every night. I want to learn how to cook beyond a recipe, and without having to worry about that pesky dairy. I'm ready to make a change in my life. When the weight comes off as a result, well, that's just salsa. (The healthy alternative to gravy)

I'm proud to say that it's already starting. I'm not going to pretend anymore. By keeping track and being honest with myself I'm sure I will see results. I'm making realistic goals. I may not be snowboarding this year, but next winter I will be on the slopes. I may not be in perfect shape by my birthday, but this summer I hope to be able to play a little soccer on the side.

It feels different this time. I'm going to make it.

Hey Just wanted to tell you that I actually have a tat of your chinese character on my ankle. I got it after my exhusband and I split and I needed a constant reminder that I do have the strength. I have looked at my tat thousands of times in the past few years to remind me that no matter what it is, I am strong enough to do it. I hope you get yours soon. It was one of the best tats that I have ever gotten

    emoticon Happy Two-Year SPARKVERSARY. emoticon

Staying with this for two years is a HUGE accomplishment, because you know how many others began when you did and they QUIT. What you have done is just wonderful.
So happy YOU kept working on your goals and loved yourself. Bless your heart. Next year will be even better! emoticon

The walk is a marathon and a half.. It is through Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.. But the thing is with them you can walk what you can.. the thing they ask is that you help raise at least $1800. I did the walk in San Franciso for the first time two years ago because my mentor had passed away the March of. She walked in that walk I believe until she couldnt anymore and that was why I got involved.. It is definitely a powerful event. I had vowed to walk every year until I was no longer able, but unfortunately last year I was unable to attend because I didn't raise the money and two because my Sister was pregnant with twins..

But there is an event in D.C and I am living here now so I think I will either try and participate in that one or head back to San Francisco next year.. Hopefully I can raise the money in time.. :) What walk are you doing?

You are welcome.. It is something that I learned whil I was doing my walk. I heard somewhat about men who had faced breast cancer but walking made the number clear and even more staggering. The problem is education. Many men do not want to admit yet that this is a real problem for eveyrone.. Its stigmatized as a woman's disease but the truth is IT is everyone's disease because it affect everyone, not just a few.. :) Sorry I am very passionate about the subject. I lost a great mentor to this disease and it is hard even today to get through it.. Thanks for your time..
