Hi, I'm 37 years old, a Navy Veteran, a Mommy and a Registered Nurse. My husband is a retired Navy Sailor and his family is from Greece. Its been fun for me, a Midwest girl, to integrate into a very ethnic family (oh, and Greek food is so good!)

I have 2 children: our daughter, Mina Sophia, is 6 years old and our son, Franzeskos Michael "Mikey", is 3 years old. They are such blessings, but now I have get back into shape!

I can't believe how much of my life was wasted on living an unhealthy lifestyle. The only explanation I have for it is just plain laziness. But, I'm no longer dwelling on the past--my focus is my future. My goal is to make exercise a top priority in my life and ensure that only good healthy stuff goes into my mouth now. This is a daily struggle and I hope Sparkpeople can help me with these goals.

Please feel free to add me as a friend!

Hi Stacy! I saw you post on the Warriors team that you hope to get to visit your relatives in the future out in Bellingham. Oh my, do I know where Bellingham is and know it well. So gorgeous! That's Navy country! Are your relatives in the military there? Have you been to WA before? I grew up in the Seattle/Renton area. Graduated from Renton High in 1977! Uh-oh, now you know that I'm ancient! emoticon emoticon I married my Midwest DH in 1981 and have been back here in MN, same place/dairy farm for over 30 yrs. now! Wow, where does the time go?! We hope to get out to Seattle/WA, everywhere else too, within the next year. My immediate relatives are gone but tons of cousins by the dozens and 2 Aunts left. Would love to see all them again and tons of friends still. Take care and I'm wishing you the very best trip when you go. You'll have to tell me all bout it afterwards! Seattle/WA is a soft spot in my heart.....forever! emoticon emoticon
