Nikki's Losing It!

Over the past two years I have used college as an excuse to not meet my weight loss goals. Boy have I been full of excuses! I've blamed everything from stress, staying up too late, not having time to exercise, and late night snacks with friends for my failure. As a recent college graduate, I no longer can use these "crutches" to avoid my goals.

My journey began in January of 2011 when I set a goal for myself of losing 70 pounds. Over the past two years my weight fluctuated from 222 to 189, but I never quite made it to my goals. After a while I would get discouraged and give up.

My goals lifetime goals include: obtaining a PhD, lose 50 pounds, operate a charity organization, and run a half marathon with my mom.

My Goals:
Lifetime Goals: PhD, lose at least 50 lbs, operate a charity organization, and run a half marathon with my mom.

Short term goals:
196 by 6/21/13
185 by 8/9/13
174 by 9/15/13
163 by 10/24/13
150 by 1/28/14

My short term goals are fairly lofty, so I'll still be happy if I don't hit them exactly on the mark.

My Program:
Right now I'm eating a diet of 1200 calories daily, which surprisingly is very difficult after years of eating way too little.

30 minutes of cardio 4x week

30 minutes of strength training 3x week
