UPDATE: it is now the end of 2012 and I am just about back to where I was 2 years ago, which is very disheartening. I'm determined to finally rid myself of this extra baggage I've been carrying around, and 2013 is the year its going to happen! I'm graduating from Nursing school in May, and I want to go out looking and feeling the healthiest I've ever been! :) So, by May 25 I hope to have lost 25lbs or at least be physically fit. I've returned to SparkPeople after an almost 2 year hiatus for that extra motivation and to help me monitor my intake, which has always been the hardest thing for me.


I used to love my body, but over the past 2 years I've gained almost 50lbs!! I'm the heaviest I have ever weighed in my entire life. I don't even recognize myself in the mirror anymore..

My new year's resolution for 2011 was to lose 30lbs by May 1st. It's already Feb, and I've only lost about 7lbs. It's about time I step things up a notch so I joined SparkPeople hoping to find the extra kick in the butt that I need to lose this last 23lbs, and hopefully more!

*Lose 25lbs by May 25th
*Eat more nutritious meals
*Exercise and build muscle

My Program:
Fitness:
-Go to gym at least 3X per week
-Take a dance class, or Just Dance!

Nutrition:
-Eat healthier foods that are as close to the correct range as possible.
-Eat smaller portions, more frequently.
-Drink at least 8 cups of water a day.


Personal Information:
I'm a nursing student living in San Jose, CA, but I'm originally from NY. I love animals, and have a small zoo living in my apartment (dog, cat, parrot, and 6 fish tanks). I also love to dance, which I recently started up again and it feel awesome! :)

Hang in there. You still have 6 weeks till may 1st. Step up your workouts. make sure you sweat and the days you don't walk make sure you something at home if even for 20 minutes, something is better than nothing. You can do this and now is better than later. Keep moving and you'll get there emoticon emoticon
