My Time to Shine!

This will be my year to finally reach my goals and end the constant worry about my weight. I have spent my whole life playing this game. Always being the girl who "carries her weight well", but in reality was simply overweight. Losing weight and gaining it back year after year, but I have finally reached a point where I know what I have to do to succeed. I've been able to keep a good 15lbs off for a few years now, but still have 10-15 more that have plagued me since I hit my last benchmark. ...

Now that I know what to do and that I can do it, this is going to be my time to shine. I know that when I focus on ME, I can reach all of my goals and finally end this game. This will be the last year that I play the weight loss game and 2011 will be the first year of the rest of my life where food will no longer be a worry of mine nor will my weight, because I will finally be in CONTROL of my life. It will not control me!

My goals for this year:

1) Conquer my cravings for sweets.
2) Run my first race(s) which includes a 5K, 10K, and half marathon by the end of the year.
3) Finally lose the last 10-20lbs and be in the shape of my life!
4) Be able to wear my jeans without looking like I poured myself into them!

My Program:
Right now. . .

1) Insanity!!! Every day
2) Drink my water
3) Eat as clean as I can
4) Avoid sweets at all cost, but if I must, then only in moderation.
5) Running when I'm not beat from Insanity.

Hi, Sooz - I just joined and know no-one out here, so I'm reaching out. I see that you've blogged and was wondering how you stay motivated, and what tools out here help you get motivated and learn. Any advice you have would be welcome and appreciated.

I'm a person who loves a team environment and has a hard time reaching out to people, which is pretty tricky! Let me know if you've found more contacts here helpful and if you have any particular 'friends' you'd be willing to introduce to me.

Slow, but great run today! Just glad to know I still easily have a 5 miler in me. Biked 12 miles this afternoon just because. So off to a fantastic start already! Now if I could just kick this darn cold! emoticon
