A New Begining

I'm a healthcare compliance cosultant. I spend much of my time driving on the road or behind a computer. I have 2 great childeren, and husband. The past 7-8 years have been very rough on me physically and mentally. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue (among many other things). I have been a yoyo dieter since I was 15. Hi! and thanks for the add. Insulin Resistance is a pain, isn't it?!? the best way to eat for me is having a mostly primal diet. Proteins, veggies, fruits, nuts, some dairy. I eat 100g+ of protein 75-100g fat and under 100g carbs. I steer clear of breads, grains, sugars etc. for the most part... but do eat small portions occasionally. When I get into a good stretch of keeping those things out of my diet... I'm more apt to crave a turkey burger than something sweet!
Also, my doctor recently referred me to an endocrinologist and he started me on metformin. I've been taking it for a month and a half and it is helping quite a lot.

It just takes one small step, and you are going in the right direction.

Thanks for the comment! The Thermotabs on my food diary is a salt supplement I take for a neurological disorder I have (orthostatic hypotension)

Thanks for the comments. As I struggle with a bit of a slide, revisiting them reminded me of where my head needs to be. Go us!
